One bag that I know I will be making is a white one for formal wear.

Harold,
For evening attire, your silver-plated cantle would look superb with a white goat hair front and no tassels. A bit like these beauties by Kate Macpherson:

Maybe add the goat hair you just got to the silver one - may be nice

Kyle, those goat hair sporrans look better and better to me.
Since I live in a region where angora goats are farmed (in the dry interior), I should look into acquiring a piece of skin with hair to have made into a sporran.
Harold, that is quite a collection you have put together. I look forward to seeing what you make of them.
Do you plan to make use of the elephant badge from your most recent purchase?
Regards,
Mike

I won't use the badge as it is a regimental badge and I did not serve. I feel that it would be wrong to do so.

Thomas, that offer sounds interesting. But considering the uncertainties of transatlantic trade, and the possible duties on imported/exported items, I think I had better look at South African-produced goods.
