It was great to meet everyone, it was a bit of a challenge to keep my tent down on the ground by myself but I did get some help from the kind folks in the clan Ross tent so I could go eat and the like. Even had some passersby help me hold it down while I rearranged the stakes, even thought I caught sight of Dorothy and ToTo go by.
Thanks to Frank and the folks that set it us, this was my first year there and first time hosting a clan tent so it was all a learning experience. I do think I will invest in some of those screw in tie downs for dogs as using 4 stakes on each corner just had the ground all broke up where nothing would hold anymore.
My tent out at the lake was pitched down in a low area but still had enough wind to put a permanent bend the two poles that go across the top of my tent.
The calling of the clan was a great experience too and the get together afterwards was very nice.
