Seanachie, like English Channel. Some spanners got so hot in the garden I could not pick them up.
Fifty miles South in Alderney thick fog all day.

Chilling in the heat
Hi Dale out again early in Sandsfoot Castle Gardens. Ruin of tudor Royal mint. Twenty Knots of wind in the yacht moorings. Portland Island as background to last years Olympic sailing Waterfront.That is another story. Try to edit my photo folio for winter forum display. Roddy.

Completed exchange of house this afternoon. Off to Cornwall in ten days.
Walked round the back of the Fleet at sun set. Inland sea seven miles long behind Chesil Pebble Bank fifteen miles long.
Location is home of Wartime Bouncing Bomb Trials, The Royal Engineers Bridge Building Training Camp and Abbottsbury Swannery.
Sea flat calm .Vis Fifty miles. Hills almost black in pale yellow sunset. Not much dew on cut hay in fields.
At 1000 hrs ,Ground still hot. Air still Warm. In shirt sleeves, kilt and sandles. Not a sole about. Off to chineese then home for wee dram. Looks Ok tomorrow 25 degrees.
Out again at 0600 am. Roddy
