You have to love so many options for what I, naively, assumed was a hard to find object. Kudos to all those who answered. I am lusting after the brass can't,e one from Artificer. I had better be extra good to my wife!

Wardog , here is another option for you . It's a more simple day wear sporran ( although very nice ) and it is in the color family of your oxblood shoes . It could probably also be used as semi-formal . Just food for thought .... happy sporran hunting !

I have no commercial association with Centaur Design, but they did make me a bespoke Kilt belt and sporran strap. The quality and pricing were excellent and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
