(Sigh... Yes, I do ask for selfish reasons)...

Sorry... /threadjack (but it might be helpful to others to know what to do in such situations)

Unfortunately, our 'help' line (800-ask-usps) is basically worthless. They're not postal employees and don't really know how the system works. Your best bet is to talk directly to a delivery supervisor like me and ask them to look things up for you. I know you're not in the States but maybe this will help some of the others. If nothing else, you can pm me the details and I'll see what I can figure out for you.
As for something that has been 'stuck' for over a month...it is pretty rare for something to disappear completely, and internal theft is almost unheard of because everybody knows it would cost them their job. Nobody really likes to admit it, but the machines in the mail processing plants do damage items occasionally. In the case that they can't identify the origin or destination of a package, the contents are sent to the Mail Recovery Center in Georgia. To initiate a search, you will need to fill out a search form, which a supervisor can email to the recovery center. To be honest I'm not sure how successful the searches are because they correspond directly with the customer once I've sent the form in.
Hope this helps. If you want to take this offline, feel free to pm me. I usually work six days a week, so I may not be able to respond immediately, but I will respond.

Thanks. At the moment I'm dealing with the vendor, but if I figure that I might get more traction another way, I'll send you a PM if necessary. :-)

I don't think this pic really qualifies as an action shot but it was the best I could do today. First outing of my Nova Scotia tartan kilt. I took it down to the Maritime museum where I volunteer to see a native Scot, the three masted square rigger Balclutha. The name is Gaelic for "Rock of, or town of, Clyde" which is where Balclutha was born in 1886.

Nice looking kilt, sailortats. The jacket and hose compliment it nicely.

The Balclutha is a beautiful ship.
My dad and I visited the ship several times back in the '60's.
My children and I visited it in the '70's and '80's.

Nobody needs this much hassle in the process, but that picture says it was, in the end, well worth the effort. Very nice.

Really nice looking kilt, it does go well with the choice of attire with it
All the best with your new kilt
