    ABOSLUTELY!!!!!

You're now... um... well... uh... okay... you're now Guatamalan-Canadian!

Turn-in your laminated Chinese Identification Card and report to the Guatamalan embassy!

See how silly this whole thing is?! Hell, I'm born in the United States. By default, that makes me a "mutt"!!

One of the things that has always struck me is that the Scots of old (my ancestors VERY much included) they were practical people. In fact MOST people everywhere are practical both past and present. The kilts, both Great and Little were made of 100% wool. WHY, cotton don't grow in Scotland. Sheep do. Therefore kilts=wool...amazing as to how that works. If cotton had been in abundance in Scotland then Kilts and fabric in general would be cotton based. If PolyVicous material was around then you would find kilts made of this material also. WHY...Scots were a practical people. I have the 'tradational' kilts, cotton kilts, poly-vicous kilts and wool/synthetic kilts. I keep the wool for 'special occassions'. WHY, have you tried to find a good cleaners that knows how to correctly press a kilt in my neighborhood?

I wear a kilt 99% of the time that is not 'tradational' because I am a practical man. I know that if I spill something it's into the washer and hang dry! I can then go back and press it myself and back into the closet. Moths...no problem either! Camo even. Why, I like it.

I enjoy the post here because it gives a wide range of latatude. When I do 'wear tradationally' I do want to wear correctly. If I have a question, I ask or file information back in the 'I have to remember this" file. However, when I go out on in a Camo I do so and enjoy it.

I hate to see anyone depart but life is full of choices.

You ever TRIED to catch a poly-viscose?! Those buggers are FAST!

You ever tried to grow some poly-viscose?! That stuff takes all sorts of fertilizer (much like this response) and all kinds of care... otherwise it just won't grow!

Scots practical?! Yup. And SMART too! Otherwise we would all be debating over thistle kilts!

I truely hate to say this, but I think Utilikilts are kinda ugly.

I think utility kilts are similar to hats. Not all styles suit all men. And some men not at all. The exception, of course, being Hamish... sometimes I think the man could wear a car blanket and look good!

Utilikilts don't float my boat either, thats why my first two kilts were tartan wool. My third is a Victory kilt that has the profile of a traditional kilt but I can throw it into the wash and hang dry, which is one of the reasons I ordered it to wear at work.

A car blanket kilt hmmmm what an interesting idea.

I agree Hamish would look elegant in it. (Blushing permitted Ham)

I don't think I'd ever wear a non-traditional Kilt. But I don't care if others do wear Utilikilts. Whatever makes them happy.
