That is why I think that you two are some of the greatest posters on the board, you say it from the heart If more people had that gift, the world would be a much better place.

    johnallen...

I have 2 suggestions. Braveheart and GOLF PANTS.

Make her sit down and watch Braveheart. Put it on a loop and play it throughout the evening. Show her how "masculine" a man in a kilt truly is!

2nd... if you don't golf, take it up. If you do, start wearing the "traditional golf pants"... Those baggy silly looking tartan pants. If she can get used to you in them, then she HAS to get used to you in a kilt. She may even see the kilt as an IMPROVEMENT to those pants.

Bottom line... it's HER mental / emotional issue.

If you want to "fire back" you can (depending on how good of an acting job you can pull off) break into tears and tell her that she's not supporting you and that you THOUGHT she loved you and would support you in your endeavors. hahhahaha

I am trying another ploy to get my wife even more involved in the kilting. I have recently ordered a new kilt and unbeknown to her I have also ordered a matching sash for her. We saw this at the highland games we attended and she liked it.

Anyway John, I hope it works out with kilting and your wife's acceptance.

Keep at it, it will only improve. Some lucky so-and-so's here have wives that have joyfully embrased their husbands in kilts, but that's not the lot of all so we have to work harder!

    you'll be in my prayers.
