Bit of a theme here, I suppose. My daughter, Lorna's Wedding in June 2013 at The Hub on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh. One of the "count em on one hand" top 5 days of my life. The first being her Birthday.

The Father of the Bride Speech.

This one is of the First Dance as Mr. & Mrs. Neil Duff-Howie. It clearly demonstrates the kind of "generational" differences that Nathan alluded to in the OP. Neil had this kilt made in the Guthrie Tartan of his Mother's Orkney family roots. At 35, he had never worn a kilt and insisted on following his own path in putting his rig together, which essentially meant balking at the Easter Road Kiltmaker's instance on black ghillies and going with Docs, as did Lorna.

Below, is a photo of my partner, Anne and I embarking on a day out with Lorna & Neil's first born bonnie lassie, Isla Madelyn (wearing a Chesterfield Coat that I first wore in 1957) a couple of months ago. It was a wet Skye day, hence the field boots.

I believe the piper is Dr Angus MacDonald, a Gaelic speaker from Skye.

    Perfect

I just love the Bride & Grooms Doc Martens!
    Congratulations to you all.
I think your photos might help illustrate the fact (in another thread) it's a style of garment and it evolves with time.
Does Isla have her own Doc Martens yet?
    (Sorry to derail)

Last but not least, for the time being, a not very good picture of my wedding. I would have normally worn my green tweed jacket, but due to unforeseen events I lent it to someone else, so---.
