Regarding dry cleaners, I agree that most do shoddy work-thus my loss of shirts and a pair of pants over the past few years. However, some do a much better job-even here in the states. I no longer go to a chain but a high-quality in-establishment cleaner. I haven't had a problem since switching-just watch out for the chains. Some of the smaller cleaners actually specialize in things like kilts. Just check around-dry cleaners aren't all that bad.
