    I CAN tell you this...

it's REAL hard to go wrong with these guys! I know of about ten guys that own their kilts (traditional and "casual") and all of them are top-notch workmanship. Even the "casuals" are sewn with skill and care. When you can taper a "casual" and have them hang like these guys... you're good!

If it's what you're looking for... I would say "yes". If I was in your brogues, I would not hesitate for a second.

mcnice... I'm following the flow here and meant to let you know that I was speaking fo the eBay seller.

Here's a GREAT way to see if you're dealing with something out of Hong Kong... or something that's presentable.

Scroll down their page on the eBay link that you offered-up. See the kilt hanging on the manequin? Look at that front apron. Not only is it wide enough to go around the thighs and hips... but if you look at the tartan pattern on the front apron, you'll see that from the waist-line to the bottom, the apron is tapered-out. Look at the tartan stripe, and see how it's revealed more at the bottom. A GOOD and TAPERED and WIDE front apron is a sure sign of a well-patterned kilt. As for well-made... that's a gamble until you receive it. Fortunately, you can always ask about their "Return Policy" before you buy.

they offer quite cheap kilts, at least one machine stitched for 300 €. does that mean that the sewings on the pleats can be seen? or what is the difference?
