I grabbed some images from the page. The static images are MacKay weathered, then MacKenzie & Black Watch on the models... but I probably didn't need to tell you that.
The problem with these trousers is not the turn-ups, but the ghastly hipster cut - waist far too low and what tailors call a 'hungry bum'. Not enough material in the seat area, and an alarming risk to the wearer's comfort when he tries to sit down.
I learnt too many years ago, Trog, that sadly my body-shape would not fit into the style of trews that you feature here. I have used the excuse of the demise of Haggarts to not to get myself another pair of more sensibly cut tartan trousers. However, one of my sons has a super pair of tartan trousers made at Campbells that has rekindled my thoughts of getting another pair. The trouble is that I might not live long enough to get them made, never mind getting my money's worth of wear, out of them!
