I just received it yesterday! Very nice! I can't wait to take it for a spin... But I have to wait AGAIN! It came with a chain. It's too short for my girth...

I need to order a strap. I have seen someone’s sporran strap on here, it's the one that's like braided or woven. I want on just like it in black! I'll see if I can find the pic..

I think Robert at R kilts sells the braided straps

I actually ordered, or talked to Robert, about making a brown one to go with my BK. He is going to make me a 'regular' strap with the clasps for D-ring hardware.

The main difference in the braided straps is that Robert makes a round braided section, while Freelander has a flat, 'internal' braided section. Both very nice.

I am trying to split my purchases up to 'share the wealth', so to speak....

That "mystery braid" does look nice. I remember when bracelets and belts like that were popular.

I had seen straps with those braids at another supplier, but freelanders look much better.

I think they look really cool also. Actually, now that you mention it, I really like the look of Hyde's leather watch strap on 'That 70's Show' too.

Just had a phone call from Buzz K. It turns out that the leather he uses for the brown sporrans had to be ordered, and he dyes the leather himself. Told me I would have it in two days.

I was getting a little worried. Now, I can't believe the level of service he showed, to actually call me to let me know what was happening...

This will be one sporran I will be proud to own....
