No not a Maryland Grad. Turtle is a nickname I had in high school and It's kind of stuck with me thru the years. So I figured what would be stranger to see than a kilted turtle.

Once I'm there, unless I had a hard conflict, I should be good for anywhere in the Triangle and possibly the Triad.
Can you give us an ETA when you will be in NC? We would like to include you in the Kilt Night. Feel free to go ahead and offically vote, especially if you will be down here in the near future.

Here is my input though you may want to exempt it from the total once you read this whole post.
A.......4
B.......3
C.......2
D.......1
The reason you may not want to count mine in follows.
As sometimes happens, life gets in the way of what we would like to do so we do what we must. Apparently the company I am currently contracted too is indicating that they will not be renewing the contracts that I am working with. Getting out of that part of the business. I am currently devoting most of my time to exploring the job market in my field and it appears that I will have to do some traveling to meet with prospective clients.
For that reason I may or may not be available for planning or even attendance. Carry on guys...Plan and have a great night out and if life allows, I'll join in.

I have a job interview (phone) tomorrow and another one (also phone) on monday with another company. I'm sort of at the mercy of the employers but if either one of these pan out and I get the second interview, I think I would probably be moving back down in 2 to 3 weeks from now.
Both jobs are in the RTP region.

Well, now it is looking more like Charlotte is the winner. I know this won't be an issue for KiltedTurtle and myself. (I know he and I are welcome to stay at my parent's house, and I can pick him up on my way there to save gas.) Unfortunately I know this will mean a long drive for our coastal guys.
Magnus Sporrano, good luck on the interviews. If you need anything from a local guy, just give me a holler.
Mike n NC, I sympathize. My job's contract ends at the end of this March. There is talk of our company being able to take care of us for another 12 months, but no one is believing that, and nothing has been put into writing. So I have been job hunting as well. What's worse, is that my wife was layed-off from her job last November. She's had several interviews and callback interviews, but nothing yet. Things are starting to get tense for us. I wish you the best of luck with your situation. (If we remove Mike's vote as he suggested, Charlotte is still the winner.)
Remaining optimistic... Would it be safe to assume that which ever date we choose that a Saturday night would be ideal? That would give everyone time to travel. Is RiRa still sounding like a good place?
later all,

I know Saturday would be the best for me. Does any one have any other suggestions on a place to meet up? I don't mind RiRa but just wondering if there are any others.
