A Harlequin romance novel is exactly what Bobbie said when I first put it on.
Then I took my coffee outside and stood so I could do some "Market Research".
That means I stood there and watched the reactions from the cars who go by.
Two cars with three women drove by and actually braked so they could get a better look.
And the city bus went by. One girl in a group of 10 or 12 saw me, yelled, and the others almost broke the windows with their noses turning around to get a glimpse.
Then a mini-van went by. Three older ladies were in it. A couple of minutes later around the block they came. Then again. I called Bobbie and Tabia(our seamstress) and they stood just inside the windows so they could watch the reactions too.
Dang, who said market research was boring?

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.
I love the look of the outfit, I would however prefer to see it with a rustic looking sporran. The shirt I think is bang on and is what i've been looking for for some time.
Well done and keep us posted on when production will start.
I quite like the look. The shirt sleeves are a little too puffy for me, so I'm glad to hear that you're going to shrink them down in the next prototype. I like the collar. It's hard to find shirts with that style collar these days.
The vest is great. It could easily be worn without a jacket and look grand. I notice you say that you are changing the length but that it won't be short enough to go under an Argyle jacket.
Will it fit under the new sportcoat you're designing?
And I can't wait to see those socks. What colors will they come in?
Finally, great looking pipe. Although, if you really wanted to look colonial you needed an old clay churchwarden.
The reason for the waistcoat, shirt and jacket in the first place is that 'normal' kilt acessories just don't work with kilts worn lower than the ribcage height of Traditionals.
So the waistcoat will not work with a normal Argyle jacket. But with a contemporary kilt the waistcoat and jacket will look great. Or at least that's the idea.
Have you tried buying good quality tweed fabric lately? Dang, I thought Tartan fabric was exspensive!!!!!
