Oooooops! These certainly were NOT - unless you're thinking of the hand-knitted tartan hose!!!

Wonderful pictures. It's really great that the two of you could get together. Ham, those hose are spectacular.

hamish,
which school of photgraphy posing did you go to? I've a mind to write them a congratulatory letter of their success with you!

I have travelled to London, and to London Gatwick airport, numerous times to meet up with kilted brethren, and their families, who have been visiting this part of England or maybe just passing through. One in particular (David Freelander) paid me the greatest compliment by actually coming to my home!
The enjoyment and pleasure I receive from meeting face-to-face with those who were previously just 'names', is amazing. It would be invidious of me to single any out and it is true that I really enjoy spending even the shortest time in the company of kindred spirits.
So, YES! Let's have a Gathering to beat all Gatherings, but where and when?
We already have a Southern England Gathering lined up for July 16th (see the 'Gatherings' section for earlier posts, and I'll be adding a reminder next month) at The Harpenden Highland Gathering in Hertfordshire - just north of London. 'X Marks...' members from Cardiff, Norfolk, Dorset, even Scotland, and all over the South East are determined to be there, so come and join us for the day - you know you want to!
