Well, I Guess An Introduction Is In Order
...Since I've been lurking here for a bit now. Have tremendously enjoyed the forum - particularly the 'Kilt Dos and Donts' thread - http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=17155 - for it's good natured humor. Definitely the funniest thing I've read this year.
Found the board via Mr. Newsome's blog while researching kilt 'inspiration' on the web. I'm occasionally a wee kilt (using the pattern as mentioned in the above thread) and sporran maker when the inspiration moves me. Currently have a a few Royal Stewart wee (GI Joe scale) kilts on my work bench waiting for some spare time to finish. Visiting Xmarks is a decent warm up for same and a nice learning experience.
Proud owner of two Stillwater economy kilts - a Black Watch currently hanging in the closet - and an Irish National currently en route to my mailbox - and a leather 'Celtic sporran' of unknown maker won via ebay.
Used to work with a piper from a local pipes and drums band - check out their webpage here - www.a2pipesanddrums.org . Just a plug for a cool local kilted band.
Nice to meet you all. Back to the lurking, learning and enjoying.
Thanks and best wishes - Will Emero II
