Welcome! I was in Texas last spring, and I didn't have any trouble kilting...Just wear it with confidence!

Privet!
Kilted Cossack:
Aha! And now there are TWO cossacks on the board! Personally I've no Russian blood, but my daughters are half and half, as I met, fell in love with, wooed and married the team captain of the TsSKA of the Army of the Republic of Kazakhstan's women's rugby team.
I've found, almost unfailingly, that the people who want to make an issue out of our kilt wearing are small minded people, and tend to be bullies. The way to beat them is to be better than they are.
What kilt(s) do you have?
We may have to organize a Texican kilt night sometime soon, as I know there are other posters here from Texas.
BTW---get a load of our Hamish! Not only does he set the standard for stylish kilt wearing, not only does he have the monster "Kilt Kollection" but he has a passing acquaintance with Russian to boot!

Welcome to the forum.
You are learning fast, I have also found that those who comment are are small minded people mostly guys who dont have the confidence to wear a kilt, and are a little jelous.
I have been wearing a kilt off and on for 4 years now and I would never think about riding my motorcycle with a kilt on, but thats me.
Hamish never ceases to amaze me either.

Well, my friends, I started wearing my kilts ( a black watch and solid black economy kilt from Stillwater Kilts - love 'em) and, not only have I not received any negative comments, I haven't received any positive comments, either! That's fine by me, and I find that my kilts are so much more comfortable than jeans or slacks. I'm hooked, and ready to own as many as I can - now, if only I could talk Stillwater Kilts into carrying the Drummond Tartan (My one Scottish ancestor was a Drennan, which is apparently a sept of Drummond), I'd be in hawg heaven.
Spaceba, Tovarischki!

Welcome Sebastyen. Glad to hear you started to wear your kilts. Always wear them with pride.
