When I briefly used ebay to try and get a little business going, they SCREWED ME. First they took a payment out of the account I had set up just for that purpose... And the account was empty, as it should be, because I don't want any funds in that account should it ever get 'frozen.'
Ebay then has problems with its records... Or something. About a week later, they try to take an automated listing payment out of an empty account. Guess what happens? That fails. So Ebay, being the smart folks that they are, knowing my account is empty, try to take the money again that day, followed by a whole gaggle of fees for having insufficient funds.
I have bank records showing that ebay tried over 100 times in a single day to draw payment from that bank account, each time hitting me with fees from their end for failure to pay and kicking in penalty fees from the bank. This went on for a couple of WEEKS. My bank records clearly showed that I paid Ebay my listing fees, but Ebay has no record of it. Bank tried calling all of the numbers and sorting the account out. Nothing was done. Bank recommended that I nuke the account. I did. Ebay claims that I duped them out of hundreds of dollars and suspended my account, even though I can show that I made the original payment in question. I told them in their last email exchange to take me to court and prove it. They never did.
