I hope everyone has a great time. I'll be sitting this one out, catching up on stuff around the house.

Stone Mountain
Well, it has all come and gone too fast, enjoyed meeting some of the guys from this forum, Turpin, The Scott, Shriner, and others, sorry I missed the group photo, but this was definitely the best time I've had at the Highland Games, ( and my first time at Stone Mountain kilted.) Great weather, great fun, enjoyed my time at the MacLaren tent, so great to meet some fellow X-markers. Just a perfect day! Thank you all, can't wait to do a kilt night at Paddy's at Chateau Elan or the Burns supper in January in Conyers. To quote the McDonald's ad:...."I'm Lovin' It."
Thanks again,
David

I will second all of the above.
This was the best time at Stone Mountain I've ever had, and I've been going for 10-12 years. Next year I'll plan better and make the Sponsor's Reception again.
I met some of the finest guys around--some X-Markers--and even had dinner with a few. These guys are great: Turpin, SouthernScot, Shriner, Parthian MacGregor, Cawdorian, LiltedSawyer, and CavScout (who brought three of the nicest children one could ever meet). Ms. Parthian was quite charming as well, and it was worth the trip just to meet these fine folks, some of whom I'd not met previously.
I look forward to our next gathering, as we are already discussing a St. Andrews dinner quite soon.

It was great to meet the "out-of-state" contingent. Wish I could have joined the lads for dinner but it was great to meet each of you.

Sound like I missed a good time...incase you all missed it on the news we had tornados here in Pensacola and my neighbors car was one of them hit in the Target parking lot so we stayed around to help her out till her car is fixed.

More than once someone asked if anyone had seen you. You were missed! But glad you weathered the storm safely.
Cheers,
~Parthian.

Thanks, MacGregor, for posting the fine photos. This was a great weekend, for sure, and i only regret that we do not yet have pictures of our lovely wives from dinner.
I fear that Shriner was way-laid by some nafarious entity bent on ruining a wonderful Scottish weekend. I'm sure he'll get the pix up sooner or . . . well, he'll get them up later.
