Cream/White Hose or NOT

i think that white socks are universal for most colors of kilts. they fit well with red, green and blue. i dont own any socks, yet. i need to get them since winter is coming in and i need to keep my legs warm.

Is this a topic to get really upset about? I mean, we're talking about socks, here.

I have a pair of black kilt hose, quite nice. I hate them and never wear them. But that's just me and my personal bent. I have a couple of pairs of less expensive grey hose. I love them and wear them all the time and in fact hve worn out a pair, my first worn-though pair of kilt socks.. I have a couple of pairs of cream hose...one pair is wool, the others are cotton, but quite nice for all that. I wear them all the time.

I figure, wear what you want and what you think looks good, and don't get upset about little stuff like the color of another guys socks.

I wear white when going full-formal, otherwise I wear my black hose with my Black Stewart, and usually oatmeal/cream with my Hunting Stewart. Personally, I see no problem with white hose...

Also, I agree with the comment on kilt hire companies just getting you to wear what THEY want... my little brother was given a belt to wear with his rented PC for his high school graduation... that really surprised me.

As a Californian by choice these past 23 years, and NOT a 'catholic schoolgirl' , I still maintain one should wear what one is comfortable with. I'm with Panache and Riverkilt. All this pomposity is as silly as the 'no white after Labor Day' (Apalling!) nonsense.
