Taking the Isle of Skye to new heights
Today I decided to go down to the CN Tower as I have not been there for a great many years. It is still as awe inspiring as ever, and it was a wonderful day to go as it is quite warm for the end of October.
One thing though I would like to ask before I get to the pictures, does anyone still live in Coatbridge? You see my mom is from Coatbridge, and it seems that wherever I go I meet someone from Coatbridge, today was no exception, on the sky pod I met a man and woman from Scotland he was born in Coatbridge, of all the places in the world to meet up with someone from the same small town as my mom I never thought it would be on the sky pod.
Here are my photos
Look up

Here I am on the Glass Floor

And another

Straight down

The shadow of the Tower on Toronto

The Island Airport

Some City shots

Once I was done on the observation deck I went up to the sky pod, the highest observation point that the tower has

Looking down on the Air Canada Centre

The Skydome

Roy Thompson Hall where i took my Mom to see Scotland the Brave

Toronto

I found my car in this parking lot

As I was up here I heard a shutter click from behind, a German tourist was taking my picture so I asked her to take one of me

Having had the pleasure...there are very few things that are as cool as the CN Tower. And I've longed to go back and get out on that glass floor kilted...glad to see that you had the same idea.

Think of all the trauma...LOL...That almost deserves a t-shirt...I believe Rocky at USA kilts has a T-shirt that says "What's up your Kilt?" - Answer, "Ask Toronto" LOL. Looks good on ya though, and great pics.

I was thinking shortcomings but we'll stick with your answer.

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing. I love going to high places (mountains, towers, church spires, etc...) I need to find something tall to climb up now....

Thanks much for the pix. It reminds me of my trip to the top several years ago.

Super pics, McMurdo. It was very interesting to see so much of Toronto in your views.
Coatbridge - Well no I'm not from there but my wife's uncle (her mother's brother) married into the Forrest family from Plains, which is about four miles from Coatbridge - Forrest's Road Haulage and Forrest the Florists were quite well known businesses around the Airdrie and Coatbridge area.
