Munroe Pic

The difficulty with this topic is ensuring the material is 'U' rated, but thankfully the weight of a traditional Scottish kilt and the position and weight of a good quality sporran ensures that, save a hurricane, the wearer can be protected especially if he is alert and uses his hands to keep the pleats in line - as is the case in the picture above.
Rugby trips to Paris can be alarming with Metro undercurrents and have trapped the unwary (including myself) - as indeed did the subway updaft to a pipeband recently that was captured on film. The problem with the pipeband was that their hands were occupied playing their instruments so they were defenseless. It was an amusing sight. Another classic (like the Hong Kong pic) is the piper on a North Sea Oil Rig playing the pipes - he is mid Atlantic with a force 8 blowing and it would take a skilled wearer to avoid the embarrassment that beset him. For day to day wear however the kilt thankfully is secure and it a wonder of construction.

Rugby Kiltie in Paris
I found a shot that shows how tricky the Paris Metro can be for visiting Scots. I hope this one does not offend - I have kept the size small and the angle is protective of modesty. As a regular visiter to Paris especially for rugby matches supporting Scotland's National team one needs to keep one's wits about one. A 'fashion' kilt would be useless and would let the side down when dealing with the Metro blast of hot air. Vivre le kilt traditionale !

In 1998 at the World Cup, we got off the Paris Metro to visit the Moulin Rouge, the place was swarming with kilted Scottish supporters all in the middle of the boulevard and standing over the very powerful air vents, a more hirsute take-off of Marilyn Monroe in the Seven Year Itch, the gendarmes just stood back and enjoyed the exposure.

Stumbled on another kilt in the wind pic. This is my USA Kilts casual in Warrior tartan pleated to stripe.
Was at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. There was a strong updraft coming up the face of the canyon. Some of the updraft spilled over the rock wall and was playing with my apron and side pleats.

No pic but I got caught at a wedding last year. It was at a coastal castle and I was stupid enough to walk through the doorway in the wall that lead to the marina, the hem of the rear of the kilt hit the back of my head in front of the almost all the wedding guests. My brother almost collapsed he laughed so hard. Great photos guys.

Warning Warning Warning
Sylvana - your "friend" Ted has a very cruel side to him. He KNOWS how lovely you are, and how distant, and he INSISTS on torturing me with repeat postings of your photo.
Please be careful with this most sadistic man....
Oh were I there to protect you from him.....
My heart yearns...

On second thought, I am... cruel and sadistic ... Hoo ha ha ha ha...
Ah, I'm just teasing with you Ron. Syl is my best friend, and a very nice person, so I will remove that thorn from your side... I mean, her picture from your thread.
