So...who's interested? Shall we meet up at McCormacks on the 26th to finalize plans? Is renting a van per Chef's suggestion sound like an option? Please chime in....

And this shall be for music, when no one else is near; The fine song for singing, the rare song to hear; That only I remember, that only you admire; Of the broad road that stretches and the roadside fire. (RL Stevenson)

OK...seems like we have critical mass for a meet-up of the rabble at McCormarcks, a week from Sat. (April 26) at 5:00 PM for drinks and dinner at some point!

I can't make it to the Fest. I have a conference that weekend that I apparently need to attend.
I'll see you all next Saturday though.

Time to Get Real
The question has been asked if renting a van to go upstate on My 4th is an option.
Who among us is really interested in going up? So far, it looks like
Andrew
Glenn and Beth (Driver?)
David
Keith and wife (Driver?)
and maybe
Gilbert
NJ Lawyer (Driver?)
Vafuth and clan are going but cannot help with riders...
Anyone else? Who can drive and take riders? Who needs a ride?
An April 26, 5 PM meet-up is planned at McCormacks (on 3rd Ave bet. 26th and 27th) to plan this...see you all there!

Guys,
Sorry I couldn't make it last night to the gathering; I've been busy all week with mountains of grading and other end-of-semester tasks (hence the silence). I hope you had a good night out, though.
What planning was done, if any, in regards to the the Celebration of the Celts? Beth and I are trying to discern whether its possible for us to go, given unexpectedly heavy workloads this week and last. Are there any definite numbers or plans?

At this point, due to various commitments, only four of us showed up on Saturday: Baysideboy, Keith A., NewYorkBen and myself. We had some drinks and food, and then saw Keith off to the train, while we sauntered down to the Lower East Side where we flashed our kilts about town.
Keith and his wife will be going up to Chatham for the weekend. While they have graciously offered to take a couple of people with them, it would mean an overnight stay. Otherwise, nobody else has committed to going.
