The Dr Martens website is cool. If you haven't seen check it out here.

I bought my Danners in '90 also, but they were sent to my mom's. I was "over there."
My Go Devil's are my hard winter boots.

The Danner's are great, and I have the advantage of living near thier factory outlet. Still trying to wear out my first pair. Its been a nine year effort and I am still not there, though I did buy a second pair for when I want "casual pretty". Firts pair is looking a bit knocked about, but both are extremely comfortable.

I'm not much of a Doc Martens fan, I prefer my underground boots when I'm going casual. But I am thinking about getting a pair of M90 standard issue army boots for fieldwork and hiking since they are very warm and nice, to bad I'm not allowed to wear kilts during excavations though (safety thing) ;)

Army surplus is the best way to find some good things, and sometimes you get pretty lucky when it comes to finding a bargain. Now, I was wondering, how does the standard issue army boots look like in the US?
