I was thinking much the same thing, Jay. 
I have a leather kilt kind of like that, I wear it in the shop when forging. It is a mite longer, and no beastmaster stuff. It was meant to be indestructible work clothing.

I am thinking of making a leather "over-kilt" (for lack of a better term) No pleats, just wrap around protection for when I am working on messy stuff in the garage. I have a demim apron that has a nice bib and really wide lower apron sides that I have been using, but it gets really dirty very quickly... leather would seem the way to go.

Hmm, I see the seller does now offer it in blue...
Oh, I'm sorry, they are now marketing it is a "women's sunglasses case." It is a versatile item, at least.
