wouldn't a sleeveless t shirt be a tank top??
if you drink lots of water, you should be fine and dress appropriately

Stillwater Thrifty's are nice & light, but don't blow up like Sports Kilt. Sporran chain, Tank top & sandals and as long as your not sitting around, (so the heat can build up) You should stay pretty cool.

In Barcelona I wore kilt and hose all the time and didn't get too hot even in my eight yard St David Cilt.
But of course I was regimental so air could circulate and could appreciate every refreshing little breeze!
My arms and the top of my head caught the sun a little but nothing below the waist did.

Sunday, I hid in the house all day. Close to 100. We only have AC in the bedroom, so we can sleep. I broke out my only pair of shorts and wore them. Lots of water and Anti Monkey butt.

It is VERY hot and humid here in the Philadelphia PA area (USAK and AK turf).
ALL clothing is hot.
For temperatures in the mid to upper 90’s daywear for me it has to be my 6” length cotton shorts.
Last night (at midnight!) it was 82F (RealFeel 86F) and very humid.
SWK heavyweight (lightweight wool)? Too hot.
SWK Thrifty? Too hot.
Celtic Croft Economy?
I have two of the CC Economy kilts.
I ordered one of them intentionally one inch shorter that I normally wear so that the kilt definitely falls just ABOVE my knee rather that at the top of my knee.
Cooler than the SWK’s but…too hot.
Just passable was my AmeriKilt. No belt. Sandals. No hose. No shirt tuck.
Now I recall the reason that I purchased two AK’s last summer.
Does anyone have experience with SportKilt’s Hiking Kilt in hot & humid weather?

this product works GREAT!. You won't be disappointed if you picked it up.
I live in Phoenix Arizona, where it's no uncommon to see many days at 115-120 degrees. (but it's a dry heat)
My suggestions are to wear lightweight kilts during the summer, stay very hydrated, stay indoors as much as possible, and wear sandels if need be. I carry powder in my sporran so that if things start getting super sweaty I can dry things up downstairs.

No. It covers the shoulders.
