I personally endorse the idea of punitive kicks in the jimmy. This is a time when a punitive jimmy kick would have been appropriate.

Once I again I question the reasons why someone resurrected an old thread. There seems to have been a lot of this recently for some reason. No, this one wasn't 2005-old, but it WAS at least October '08-old. Over 4 months have passed.

I can understand if there is a legitimate reason to bring up something that has dropped down into the thread pile -- like if someone's giving an update to an unresolved situation, or if there was a shop review and there's something new to add. But I question the need for people to start digging through the archives just to add their two cents' worth... It's really bizarre when you see a 3-page thread where the last post says something like 02-13-2006 and then the one immediately below says "Today" and the comment is something inane like: YEAH, man! What HE said!"

I wold encourage all XTMS members, especially the ones who may be new (or new-ish) to forums in general to keep this in mind: Before you post, take a deep breath, think about what you want to say and why, and before you do anything, read through (or at the bare minimum GLANCE through) the posts ahead of you. Ask yourself: Who has contributed to the thread thus far? When? What did they have to say? What do I have to say that's different/valuable/funny/uplifting that hasn't been said already? And as I mentioned, please take a gander at the DATE of the original post too...

OK, I'm done. Just had to get that off my chest. It's a minor pet peeve of mine.

Now was that really called for? He was trying to be serious.

Come on a little humour won't hurt. For what ever reason. Give a guy a break.
