Speak for yourself!!! Lewiston sits in a nice little bowl isolated from the prairies around us and we get next to no snow. but even this year was more than usual. My inlaws in CDA have hand no new snow but it's been so cold that the 6 feet they got early this winter has turned into a glacier!

We received over 6 inches of snow in Athens. We lost power, heat, etc. for over 30 hours, and school has been cancelled for the past two days. Yet, everything is returning back to normal. Here are a few pics....

Beautiful pictures! That's not the view of Atlanta we usually see. Hope the kids enjoyed their snowman!

KiltedDawg,
Had you did not say so I swear that those pictures were taken somewhere in Virginia. Those will be great for next years Christmas cards.

"Had you did not say so I swear that those pictures were taken somewhere in Virginia."
It's funny you said that. I grew up in Virginia my whole life. The part of Athens where we live does remind me a great deal of home. The house was built in 1916, we purchased it in June and spent several months remodeling it.

We had a flurry of snow here this afternoon - it was a fine Spring day up until noon and then the sky darkened - it was barely 3 degrees Celsius by dusk.
I supose it is the same weather systems reaching us, but it has been too warm over the last few weeks and the flakes just melted as soon as they touched the ground.

I have no pics, but my sister in law who lives in the MO bootheel, got nailed pretty good. Looks like they may lose most of their trees. I think they got 6-8 inches with some fairly large drifts. Meanwhile, San Antonio is nice and warm and dry.
