I'm with you Iain, this coming weekend is not going to work out for me either. I think Orlando is an OK place for the meet. A bit far, but that's expected from Florida being so long. Someone is always going to have to drive far. Keep Melbourne in mind only 3 hours from me.

Orlando has a great many places for a meet up. Any is fine with me. It's a short hop for us as with Iain. Lets just try for a date.

Orlando is good for me, and then my step-brother can come along as well. If it's kid-friendly can bring along rugrats too.

Lets keep this an adult outing. Nothing against children. My 11 year old won't mind being left out. But being our first outing/meet and greet lets just keep it adult.

Well, if folks concur that it's an adult gathering and in Orlando and on Saturday, March 30 ...
Three locations have been suggested: Tilted Kilt, The Harp and Celt, and Claddagh Cottage.
The Orlando Tilted Kilt is not yet open, so it would be a bit difficult to get together there.
Claddagh Cottage is where the Orlando chapter of New World Celts holds its meetings on Thursdays, so I'd have to guess it's kilt-friendly, so ... that's my suggestion anyway.
I was going to say that's my two cents, but I'm yacking so much on this thread I think I'm up to a dime at least.

Sounds good for me, where is it located? I will go by there and check out the menu ahead of time and report. Pictures too.

I went by the locations that were suggested, the Harp & Celt is down town and I couldn't find parking anywhere. So I don't have much to report on it.
The Claddagh Cottage is more of a BAR even though it's call an Irish Pub. I looked in thru the windows(it was closed) and it didn't impress me the least.
I wouldn't care to go there.
Now on the other hand the Fiddler's Green turned out to be a Great Irish Pub.
I have posted pictures already. Iain,Jeneth,May, and I had lunch here on Friday last and it is a very appealing place for a get together.
That makes my second lunch there and I found the foods to be very appealing and comes in good portions. The service is excellent, and they offer a full menu
from traditional Irish fare to good ol American Hamburgers & Fries.
I recommend we use this as our meet up Place. We can call up and reserve the necessary tables we need once we have a number and date for our meet up!

OK, then, the next thing we need is a date.
Sometime in June? What would be the preference, a Friday or Saturday evening, or some other time?
