More than likely it will. It started out very small with the occasional group here and there. Some of Queen's songs actually influenced the genre such as Bohemian Rhapsody, etc. The genre attracts a lot of goth types.

More and more bands are popping up with this particular sound or sound mix. Evanescence and Within Temptation to name two of them. Their singers don't have the talent that Tarja has, but, they are still very good.

Then there is Apocalyptica . They are four cello players. They have re-recorded some of Metallica's songs except they play them on the cello. The thing about this genre type is the fans for it are extremely loyal. And will most likely listen to anyone else in the genre to see if it's good because initially it was very small.

Excellent live pics, they are really hard to get, i'm surprised they didn't confiscate your camera. The Opera House is really bad for that. Good stuff.

Thanks about the pics, it was funny I'd say every third person had a digital camera on them, maybe things have changed a bit.

Acxtually, I was making light of general rock music lasting.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing the pics. She has a great voice, and her sound and style is very interesting! I like it, very accurately described as a cross between metal and opera/classical. Glad you got to go, looks like it was a great show!
