Took the second hose off the needles last night! Still need to get Bob to model them, but here they are atop the closest thing he has to a matching kilt -- a lovely length of tweed that I will get to, one of these days. . .

The pin is a little "souvenir brooch" from my last UK trip, sporting a piece of serpentine rock from The Lizard.

And how to know when you have been knitting for too long at one time. . . the No. 5 thumb groove!

"On the hoof" pics to follow in a day or so. I'm trying to convince myself now to go back and make my first pair, the grey ones, wearable. Just a matter of reknitting the feet. I've already done it in my head, just have to do it for real now!

Believe me when I say they are beautiful kilt hose and I am looking forward to showing them off on my skinny legs. I am a lucky man to have such a wonderful, beautiful woman willing to make me so many great looking items. Kilts, shirts, hose et al. What a deal. While she is busy knitting in the evenings I am busy reading. I almost feel guilty. Almost.

I like those cuffs! Are they basketweave?

Thank you ! Yes, if you look at the early posts, I grafted a basketweave cuff onto the KAL hose body pattern from CalanaCrafts.

If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

Your hose look fabulous! Great fit and my favorite color! Bravo!!!

While I sew and quilt, I have yet to even remotely master knitting! Does anybody know someone in the Georgia area who teaches knitting? I would love to learn!
