Might be kilted up during my student teaching Tuesday is a regular school day, a break from the state mandated testing, going to run it by my cooperating teacher on Monday.
If not, my Modern Douglas tie and Saltire tie bar will be making an appearance.

The NS government postponed its Tartan day activities until April 7th this year (I believe they are tabling a budget on the 6th). The pubs etc. that have anything planned are still going with the 6th, so I guess its two tartan days for me this year!

I give my students extra credit for wearing a kilt. Of course, I wear one too.

I’m not doing anything special for tartan day, visiting the optician is about it but since I’m not working I will most likely wear one of my kilts as I usually do. Probably Black Stewart tartan as my Cooper one hasn’t unshrunk itself yet...
I might pop into some of the local pubs for a drink if I can find anyone interested but I’ll probably be the only one kilted if I do

I am not at all sure that we have a "Tartan Day". Do we?
Every day is a tartan day in Scotand so the official Tartan Day is fairly low key.
I did receive an invite to a Tartan Day event at a pub in Dundee but I have other things planned for that day so I won't be going.

For us kilt wearing Scots that do wear the kilt on a daily basis Tartan Day is everyday, I think it if it Tartan Day where introduced to Scotland it might encourage a few more to wear the kilt if only just for that one day, however wearing it on that one day may just encourage them to wear it on other days.

I wonder if that's true, Chris? Or would the general populace just see this as another commercial push for buying tartan tat?

My inclination would be to to make a very special effort not to wear tartan on that day.
