"you gotta have huge balls to wear a kilt" that was the highlight of my day lol
I think this is the consensus opinion of most guys if they were honest. Most of (straight or gay) wouldn't have the balls to wear them.

I went kilted all the way through undergrad and grad school (not every day, but a couple times a week), and I have nothing but good things to say about it.
Go for it.

I teach at the local community college, and wear a kilt at least once a week. Does that count?

I wore my kilt to college and around town yesterday. Lots of fun and several complements. The closest thing to a negative comment I heard was people asking, "Aren't you cold? It's not even shorts weather today." or people would ask me if it was a special occasion they didn't know about.
I met my cousin at the mall do give her the birthday present I had made and had to apologize for wrapping it in a target bag, but I just couldn't bring my self to out right carry a purse that matched my sporran without laughing at myself, she understood.
While walking from the overflow parking lot down the street to my bar for trivia night, one woman in a car at a stop sign I walked in front of rolled her window down and said, "Nice kilt." then as she drove past she honked and said, "I have the bumper sticker that says, 'real men wear kilts'" all I could say was, "yes we do" with a roaring laugh. Once I was in my bar, more good times, but none quite that memorable.
All in all, kilted at college=two thumbs up.

Well done, Sir! Do you go to GSU, by any chance? If so, there should still be quite a few folks around there who are used to seeing a kilty around.
