Your Caber pic looks like they were throwing up hill. Was that an optical illusion or was it REALLY uphill?

By the way the MacTavish had a very nice double tent in the Clan Village and a good showing. Not as good as ours of course but a close second.
We had our AGM there. Wish I could have made it. Sherry, our USA Association National Commissioner, always does a great job with the tent.
Clan Buchanan has a great presence at games here in the midwest too. I always carry a pair of shades in my sporran in case they are across the row from us.

Roger - it's an optical illusion. The athletics are held in a flat area at the base of the ski slope. I'm guessing that the camera angle makes it look like an uphill toss.

Thanks for posting the pictures. It was fun meeting and seeing fellow xmarkers again.
I stick out like a sore thumb in the rabble picture without any tartan....alas like the shoemakers children, my outfits are last to be finished. I did bring a yard of my family tartan Galloway for the picture but loaned it to a dancer who needed a sash for one of her dances....

Hey Teri,
If you need a kilt, I'd be happy to make one for you. Just choose the tartan and we're off! Also, thanks for the link. The pictures are great and it looks like a great venue. Looks like the weather cooperated, too. How lucky can ya get?

Oh Jon...... don't temp me.
These games have such beautiful scenery around. We saw two moose that morning on the way in.

Very nice photo! You must be very proud, and rightly so!
Having learned of the rivalry between the Buchanans and the MacLarens I've taken to calling my wee beasties my "little peace treaties".
Thank you, they are my pride and my heart.
And they'll be there at the Scotland Ct games cheering as I throw (my debut).

I'd be honored, Teri! Just send your measurements and the tartan of your choice and I'll do the rest . . . as long as it's not the Aberdeen pleated to sett, I'll be fine! As far as the moose are concerned, I'd probably stop and stare! All we have here are deer, fox and an occasional bear. I haven't even seen the bear yet. Good for me, I guess, huh?
