Kilts in Ireland
Well, by this time tomorrow I'll be on my way to the Emerald Isle with 100 or so other kids my age. But before I go (I'll try to check back while I'm there) I was hoping I could get some advice on wearing kilts in Ireland. My mother and her friend (they've both been there) think it's a bad idea to wear something so Scottish in Ireland, I think b/c of all the people of Scottish descent in Northern Ireland (my mom compared it to wearing a Spanish flag in the Basque region). I know there are Irish kilts, but I do understand where my mom is coming from and that the Irish might not really like it too much. I just wanted to know what all of you think of it.
