I'll chime in here as a 51 years young and say : Better late than never! I have found that the "if onlies" are a bit of baggage no one needs, so wear the Kilt, wear it proud and live life.

I hit 37 before kilting up, even though I had always been proud of my Scot ancestory and had always wanted to try a kilt. Every day spent in pants makes those days wearing a kilt more special.
