Congratulations! You've been given a privilege that not many of us enjoy! I have a couple of small suggestions you might want to keep in mind as you embark on your adventure. Be proud without turning people off. Demonstrate that the clothing you wear is not an impedement to performance. Mostly, prove to the boss that she made the right decision. Work is, after all, work.

That's great man, always good to hear of people that are accepting. As I've been wearing kilts to work for a little over a month now, I have to agree whole heartedly with...

Congratulations. You have acheived something in the cause of kilt wearers that I would have never been able to do. It wasn't a matter of whether it would have been acceptable to HR or anything, I was an instrument maintainance mechanic in a chemica plant, For the sake of saftey, even women couldn't wear un-birfircated clothing if there was any chance that they would have to venture out into the plant. Heck, I couldn't even have a beard until after I retired,. I even had the length of my moustache measured by the superentendant of maintainance once. (the union really pitched a b@^%%th about that one.
