    Great pic, Phil!
I never used to wear sweaters either until I found that first cream one a few months ago. I picked up two different ones today, the one in the pic and a black one. Got the pair for just under $50 Cdn. Sears is great, and you just have to love those pre-Christmas 40% off sales.

That's an excellent combination Al. Irish National Tartan and an Arran-style sweater in 'Natural' colour - perfect.

Actually, I am drooling over that tartan - it's gorgeous! How I wish I had some Irish blood in me so that I could wear it!!!!!! My late English grandmother, at one time in her early years, worked as Housekeeper to a titled family in County Athlone ........... I wonder if THAT would qualify me

Of course it would Ham. Did you not know half of the Irish football team consists of Englishmen who once thought about a holiday in Ireland and therefore qualified to play for the country.

Thank you, Ham! I've got an email in to an Irish Aran sweater weaver to see if they can find the pattern for my family name. I've always been told that "Gingles" is a very common name in Ireland, yet I cannot find any information or history at all!

And yes, I think you "qualify" to wear the Irish National tartan. I think you of all people should be able to wear whatever tartan you fancy. Go for it!

Ach. Colin beat me to posting the link!

I found my "to be's" sweater, and a LOAD of others of interest.

Can't seem to find the "Carbomb" weave!

Chances are... I could mix Jameson, Bailey, and Guinness into a single pattern?
