Ted, I think that is the MacLaren tartan the piper is wearing.

I like the Gladiator of the Garden shot! Just goes to show how the kilt can be worn everywhere. I've got an olive utility kilt and a scuffed pair of clogs on tonight.

    Thanks Moosedog!

In the gallery I have a bunch of pics now. I only have three kilts, and I tried to put them together in a wide range of styles across all the pictures. Sometimes out here it's just better to go with sandals because of the heat, and I do have a pic wearing dress sandles or slides with my canvas kilt.

Thanks for IDing that piper's tartan, it sounded interesting.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Stillwater offers the Maclaren as a Thifty model but I don't think has made it available in any other model yet. Also Sportkilt. It's a neat, rich tartan but can be kinda garish in a less-expensive fabric. But your piper's looks like a nice wool one.

    Thanks Moosedog.

I like my kilt colors to be kind of mellow. Just what looks good on me. I think I remember that tartan being at StillWater.

    Just a little trim

Ok, I'm going to get the ends trimmed on my hair next weekend. It's not really a hair cut, but I'm sure it will cost the same. It's been about eleven months sense I let anyone do anything to my hair.

    * I got the trim, and all is well.
