    Wheeeeee!

    Yowza and huzzah!

The news, or sneak peeks, of the 2006 Stillwater line are very encouraging. I've just about gone crazy for my Nightwatch standard lately----been enjoying it tremendously. The better half is going to sew down the pleats to the hips any day now. From the looks of things, I won't be doing that with any future standards from Stillwater.

I'll throw in another plea for Stillwater to consider bigger kilts, because I've got a couple of buddies who can't quite squeeze into a fifty incher.

Me, I just like the Stillwater kilts, is all.

    July 15. See http://www.mnscottishfair.org/

Stillwater had a booth there last year. That was where I first saw the wool heavyweights. I also had a chance to talk with Jerry--a really nice guy.

New for 2006, what a wonderful idea!

What a concept, new kilts every year. I just spoke to Jerry and he will be shipping today! (A Nightstalker)

Think man, a buncha new kilts at Stillwater's wonderful prices each and every year!

All I have to say is that Stillwater better have a good server because as soon as Jerry posts his new line it's going to be one of the most "hit" websites on the net.

Just to add another sized person to the list for those of you thinking about a SWK. I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam, and the SWK is right at the top of the kneecap when worn traditionally. Mine is exactly 24" long top to bottom (i.e. including the rise).

That's called good business, and smart ownership. When you care enough to listen to the market and then respond positively with more choices and more options, you'll reap the benefits. I applaud Stillwater for the numerous changes that they've made over the last couple years, and I appreciate and respect the money that Jerry has shelled-out to gamble on the new lines and tartans. There's a WHOLE lot more to kilt company ownership that getting material and having a website. There are also WAY too many sizes for a company to stock when they're producing readily-available kilts at affordable prices. There's no way to satisfy 100% of the public... but 99% will do just fine!!!;)
