Aye, you have some good points, there! I miss climbing...I may return to the sport this year, if time permits.

I wouldn't wear a kilt to the following:
Working out in the gym
swimming
snowboarding
running
renovation projects
For me each of those activities has the proper gear to wear. My kilts have their purpose and their place in my waredrobe, but they don't have exclusivity over my waredrobe. I am a big believer in having th eproper gear for each situation.

You know... I was helping my friend wrap gifts during Christmas, and I had to sit down on the floor. I wasn't quite sure how I should. My friend told me to fan it out in a circle around me with nothing under me. Now that I think about it... I think she was telling me how she would sit on the floor in a skirt. I don't think I want to sit on the floor in a kilt until I know for sure what the "CORRECT" way to do that in a kilt is.
Do I have to turn in my Man Card now?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I just kneel down, tuck or put the back part of the kilt, the pleated area, toward my legs and sit on the pleats, then either spread out the front or tuck it in around me with my legs to one side. Always seems to work.
DALE.

Folks..... I'd have to say sledding and taboganing. I tried it this past weekend and am still thawing certain parts of my body err, I mean my knees and parts of the thighs.

Disc Golf
I wouldn’t wear a kilt playing a round of disc golf. When you factor in all the thorns, poison ivy, and my inability to land a Frisbee on the fairway, any exposed skin below the waist is a bad idea.

Not a good idea when you're swapping greasy transmissions, or doing oil changes. A Utilikilt would probably be ok in the latter case, but, for the former, definitely jeans, or jeans, and coveralls.
