Got my order in a couple hours ago! Rocky said he was out of the Grey Granite, but he's already got some more on order, so it'll only add about a week to my order (three weeks is still better than eight! I'm just waaay too impatient to wait eight weeks!)
I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as I get it. And Rocky was just great to work with! I'll be doing much more business with him in the future!

Congratulations for at least having it in the works. I'm a fan of the Gray Granite tartan too.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Whatever you decide as a tartan, Get it from Rocky. He not only sells a great product, but nobody services his customers like Rocky does.

So far I've been really pleased. He answered all of my "stupid question" emails, and was great to talk to when I finally put my order in. I wanted to do a rush order, and he warned me up front that it may take an extra week or so because he was waiting for a new shipment of Grey Granite PV fabric. I did the rush order anyway, but I know that some people may not have told me that it would take a little longer than two weeks. He was very upfront about everything, and very friendly. Based solely on his reputation here and his customer service, I'll definitely be ordering from him again!

Well, that's good, Cat, and I'll be looking forward to your review.
BTW, "I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert" I do grow flowers in the desert. Take care.

We're in the midst of our St Patty's rush (think "mini Christmas season"), so I'm burried in work and not checking XMARKS as much (only 3 times a day).
The Grey Granite came in yesterday morning. It should be finished and out the door by Tuesday.

Awesome!!!! BTW, I know you're super-busy right now, and I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, so I hope it didn't come across that way. I know you guys are probably slammed with orders, so I didn't want to bug you about it...but I just had to know!

not at all... and fair is fair. You paid the rush and yours was the "oldest rush order" to be done and we had the material (FINALLY), so it got done today. It's boxed up and going out tomorrow morning via Priority Mail. Kelly made it for you.
Hope you enjoy it!

I'm excited! I got your PM as well (which I think I replied to), but I forgot to ask: do you put basting stitches in the pleats? I just want to make sure I remember to take them out if they're in there.
Don't worry about the shipping delay issues with the fabric: I used to work for the USPS, and I know how much of a pain it can be to receive goods from overseas sometimes. Those Customs inspections can be a real hassle, but it's a separate entity from the USPS/UPS/FedEx, so they can pretty much take as long as they want (and they usually do!)
Anyway, this'll be my last post in this thread, since it's getting a bit long in the tooth. I'll definitely be a new thread with pictures once I get it, and I'll email a couple to you in case you want to use them on your website or something. I'm excited to get the kilt, but I think my girlfriend may even be MORE excited to see me wearing it!!! (I've also convinced her that she needs to get a mini-kilted skirt from you guys one of these days!)
And tell Kelly thanks!
