I've given up on the marmite for now, or until I find a place to get it. I've taken up putting marmalade on oatmeal cookies, and I'm sticking to it.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

For some reason, I think marmite might taste good on a steak... Put on after it has been cooked of course. I'm thinking a london broil. I think I would rather use horseradish, though.

That might be a good reason to get some. There are a couple of Irish stores over in Scotsdale. They might have a jar of marmite... I think I'll also look for another driving cap if I go over there.

    Ted,

You were absolutely right about the Marmite pairing well with steak. I grilled some London Broil tonight and couldn't resist trying it. Thanks for the idea. And in case you want to know how...I used kosher salt, black pepper, and herbes de provence and grilled until medium (about 10 minutes per side on medium to medium high heat), made nice thin cuts and slathered on the good stuff.

    Cheers!

    Tom

But look what they do to it!!! Turn waste into a useful product. At least it gets further processed before going down the sewer.
