    LOL...the paintballs really aren't moving that fast...a .68 cal sphere moving at 300 fps is right around ~202mph. Since it's a viscous gel (and not a true solid), it collapses upon impact. A person can actually cover their "boys" with a single layer of 10 oz leather and so long as the leather is wide enough to disperse the impact over a wide(r) area, it's not really felt at all.

    Exactly right. A typical "fresh" paintball will bounce if dropped onto concrete from waist level but break if dropped from shoulder height.

    My Sporran will probably look very plain...pretty much like a muzzleloader's possibles bag. The trick is to orientate it so that it's not "bouncing" as I run so I don't get "tapped-out" by it's weight (of things in it). Perhaps a wide band of Velcro securing it to the front apron of my Kilt...not sure yet, I haven't even started on one yet.
