That looks totally awesome! I was anxiously awaiting the final result. I initially though it would turn out to "cheerleader-y" (That's a word Right?) but it looks very cool. The colors compliment each other very well and give a plain kilt a nice tartan punch. Good Job!

After fighting "flyaway kilt" on the first day of our desert trip, I am gonna put some snaps down the front of my apron on my X-Kilt.

anyway, that's an aside...this kilt looks GREAT.

That looks awesome! I made a couple kilts, but I don't think I have the patience to make any more. Otherwise, I'd make something similar! that's a neat effect with the different pattern underneath. Good job!

They're just bar tacks in a gold thread at the top of the box pleats. Rivets would be cool though!
Has anybody here tried using rivets yet? I'm working on a denim kilt and think that they might look cool, too, but maybe they'll just look odd and accentuate my rump, circling around it like that! Anybody here got first-hand experience to share?

The only problem that I see is that now I have another item to put on my list of kilt things to do!

    Great job.

What a superb work of art - I love the effect.

    Take care,
