In Florida, Flip-Flops are always considered acceptable for any attire that doesn't require a tie.

I met a female banker from CA. She was wearing a business suit and flip-flops. I refrained from asking.

The closest thing to bare feet
I've wanted a pair of these for a while now, even before I took up the kilt. I wonder how they'll look with my new woodlands camo?

I don't even know what to say except that they remind me of monkey feet. Banana!

I've seen pictures of runners wearing them, and I must confess it takes a lot of getting used to visually. It looks as if they're walking around with painted feet. Maybe we should petition the company to make them in beige, so we can go for the 'Hobbit' look.

But I can see no reason why crocs or sandals can't be worn.
Personally I wear walking and hiking boots for casual wear and doc marten shoes for formal occasions. These can be jazzed up with removeable flaps, like the golfers wear on top of their shoes.
