I also 'bit the bullet' and strode forth to the supermarket. My only reaction was 'Wow! Cool Kilt!" from a guy in the parking lot.

Belonging to the Topeka St. Andrew Society, I wear the kilt about 18 times a year i.e.; Kansas City Tartan Day, Kansas City Highland Games, McPherson Highland Games, Topeka St. Patrick's Day Parade, a Burns Tea, and Hogmanay, etc. We were planning on attending the Estes Park Scots Games but we had to cancel out - this year.

It is some of the most fun I have ever had and I am in my mid-50s.
