Welcome from sunny South Texas. I grew up in White House, north of Nashville, so we're close to neighbors also. Go three generations back on my father's side of the family and we are German. That said, I have 2 UKs, 3 SWKs, and two tanks, all in different tartans or solids. I do try to know a bit about the tartan I wear if anyone happens to ask.
YMOS,
Tony

Hello :newbie and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts. For working the farm, a good P/V kilt from any of the vendors here will work. If your work needs some serious pocket space ( fencing pliers, crimps, hammer, fasteners. ) You may want to check out a Utilikilts workman as the next kilt to put in your wardrobe. They are mostly solid colour. and so have no tartan to worry about. The other great working kilt is one of Steve Ashton's creations at Freedom Kilts. Note that all the vendors on this board have great customer service, and will help you on any kilt questions you may have.
