Rahr & Sons will be there and i was hit up by one of their guys to lend him a kilt. What is funny about this request is this same guy gave me the hardest time when I first started going to the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth. Now he has to come to me to get a kilt...Karma.

    Cool

    Looking forward to seein everybody.

Just wanted to mention that George Straight is opening the new Cowboys stadium on Saturday so it might be a good idea to avoid I30 and the stadium area in general.

I'll be in my Seaforth kilt with a lovely lady at my side holding the cutest sheltie on a leash.

I will be there in a Texas Blue Bonnet Tartan, Grey kilt hose (I think) or Full-size Boots, Khaki bonnet and unknown shirt. Glasses and beard.

    Picture to help identify me.

My son has soccer games tonight and Saturday morning, but I'll be there that afternoon until close. I'll be in my Matheson Red kilt, straw panama hat, I don't know what shirt yet but I'll be wearing black kilt hose w/Red Matheson flashes.

My daughter graduates from High School on Saturday, so maybe I will hit the festival on Sunday Morning (God forgive me) and beat the heat. Will bring my canine son Sammy - Laird of the Westies, so he can stand head and shoulders above the other Westies. (he's a biggun, but not a fattun)

Hope I see some of you.

I normally wear plain colored t-shirts, but to maximize visibility tomorrow I shall be wearing this one:

So, if you see someone wearing it around tomorrow, there's a reasonably good chance it's me. If not, well....

(Acknowledgment: the picture's not mine. I nicked it off of someone's Flickr account.)

Did anyone here see Chad Granderson(?) setting all the toss records in the athletic events? I saw him break the two hammer field records and it sounded as if they were not his first two of the day. 133 ft. on the 16 lb. hammer and 103 on the heavy hammer. It was pretty impressive.

Sorry I didn't get to see people out there. I was trying to think of something to use to set myself apart as an X-marker but didn't have anything. Hope everyone had fun.

    There was a group shot?

Unlike last year's games, I actually did (eventually) meet some Xmarkers this time: Wolfhawk, kscaddo, and medic78. I was looking for McMathTX and Jack Daw as well, but I don't think I saw them. Unfortunately, the fact that attworth would be wearing a Seaforth kilt somehow escaped me. I saw a Mackenzie kilt pleated to the white stripe shortly before I headed out. It caught my fancy, especially as I had seen so few kilts pleated to the stripe that day, and I almost said something to its wearer, but then thought better of it.

I took quite a few pictures, but not nearly as many as last year, partly because the battery gave out. I'll be posting them today or tomorrow or, if not, Saturday or next week. (I'm going to be at Scout Camp at Possum Kingdom Lake from Wednesday to Friday.)

I didn't see it happen, but I recall hearing a roar from the audience around the north athletic field while I was hanging out at the Stewart tent. I imagine that's what caused it.

I had a great time in Arlington, yesterday. It was a pleasure seeing Jack Daw, again, as well as meeting the other X Marks members. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my work committments are calling.
I had a chuckle with a couple of comments about my kilt, though. I wore my Saffron, and a couple ladies thought it was cool, I was the only one there in a Texas Longhorn kilt. A couple others made similar references to the burnt orange kilt.

All in all, it was a good day, exploring all the vendor booths, watching the different musical performances, snacking on the grub available, and all the other events available. I found a couple trinkets, I just had to have, and seen many others. I would like to have owned. I met some nice forum members, and had enjoyable conversation. Thank you.. I really enjoyed myself... I look foreward to meeting everyone, again, hopefully at a coming kilt night.
