Never heard of Jim Diamond or the Noissettes. Won't miss them.
Their absence will not affect the gathering.
Now if Diana Gabaldan pulled out, that would be serious news indeed!
I have never heard of Jim Diamond or the Noisettes or Diana Gabaldan.
Of more relevance to a Scottish themed event, Hawick Scout Fellowship Pipe Band WILL be performing at least twice on both days, an excellent opportunity for those attending to see and hear some of Scotland's youngest pipers and drummers.

I haven't heard what the gate prices are.
Ann is unlikely to make it to the games so I will probably have a spare Concession ticket available for the Sunday.

My girlfriend feels saturday is enough for her but I wanted to go on sunday also. I'm not sure if I could use a concession ticket because I switched institutes and am awaiting my new student card... otherwise I'd buy it off of you!
I think they're the same but I'll buy online just to be safe

Just bought my tickets online. If anyone's still to buy use the code "REAL" at the checkout for a 10% discount!

I posted some photos before about the tram works in Edinburgh -

and on top of this the refuse collectors are on strike with the result that there is a lot more rubbish about the streets than usual.
For everyone attending the Gathering there are none of these road works around the Royal Mile/Holyrood and I don't know how the rubbish situation will be but please don't judge Edinburgh as you find it just now. It really is a beautiful city but has gone to pigs and whistles at the moment.

I read with interest this quote:
He said: "Obviously, we hope that the council and workforce resolve their dispute as quickly as possible. However, the evidence is that Homecoming is proving an enormous success, which is helping the Capital's entire tourism sector during tough times, and we look forward to a hugely successful Gathering."
Looks like things are turning around for The Gathering. Actually, with the global recession we are in, I think the response is quite good.

The young pipers and drummers of Hawick Scout Fellowship Pipe Band are booked to play in the arena at 9am and 3pm on Saturday. For those going to the parade and pageant there will also be a chance to see them perform at 7pm and 10pm.
Their only performance on Sunday is scheduled for 3pm, I am planning on being there to see them on Sunday.

Great!
and I have heard some news that my Ancient Campbell kilt has been shipped therefore I have a choice of 2 kilts to bring - or both.
Do you guys think I should wear it to be clan-affiliated on the saturday or will I stay "neutural"?
aslong as theres no benches that say "If you're a Campbell; DON'T SIT HERE"!
